Our Story…
Artisan Uprising – Whatever you do, just don’t F@%k it Up. Our grandfather grew up this way, instilled it in our parents who passed it down to us. We get one chance each year to make our wines and with all the work involved, we just have to accomplish that 1 thing.
My brother and I began making wine at home in 2001 using whatever knowledge we had from our grandfather who had to help his dad make wine and continued making the family wine through prohibition. Using all of his methods plus some newly developed neuroses we developed our process of creating wines that we would like to buy, consistently.
We may be irreverent, but we consider our wines traditional. We simply make the best version of each varietal we produce. Honestly, getting everything out of the grape is what we do. We only work with a select few growers who have the same philosophy in grape growing. Our wines may even go against what is considered correct by the Enology Universities, or the large BioChem Companies. We do appreciate these wines, we encourage you to try them and we applaud all those who make them.
“The art is what you do with the science.” Science tells us a lot but its not everything. After all, much of the science exists so others can mimic our art.
